According to the Trade Promotion Organization of Iran, the share of exports of agricultural items during the first quarter of this year compared to the same period in 2016 has increased by about 89% and food industry by about 29%.
This significant increase in the share of these products in Iran’s non-oil export during the above-mentioned period indicates the potential growth of their exports in the future.
Exports of agricultural and food products during the first quarter of this year compared to the same period last year increased by 1% in terms of value and by 19% in terms of weight.
Exports of agricultural products during the period, compared to the same period last year in terms of value increased by 36% and in terms of weight by 29%.
Moreover, the export of fruits and vegetables during this period increased by 24% in terms of weight, indicating their high export capacities.
A review of the export volume of agricultural products during the first quarter of this year compared to the same period last year shows a total of 8% increase in terms of weight and 24% increase in value.
This shows the positive effects on the production of agricultural and food processing facilities and with the considerable employment rate.
