Non-Oil Exports Increased by 60% in May

 

Iran’s non-oil exports increased by 60% in terms of value compared to April.

Iran’s foreign trade in the first two months of this year reached 21 million tons (14.5 million tons of exports and about 6.5 million tons of imports).

The value of Iran’s 21 million tons record in these two months reached $ 9,341,000,000 (with $ 4,300,000,000 of export and $5,041,000,000 import).

Regarding the foreign trade record in May, in this month, the export volume was 9176000 tons with $2,648,000,000, showing an increase of 71% in terms of weight compared to April and 60% in terms of value. Also, there was an import volume with 3879000 tons and $ 3,110,000,000 in this month, indicating a 53% growth in terms of weight compared to April and 61% in terms of value.

The top five destinations for Iran’s non-oil exports during this period were China with $ 1,190,000,000 and a share of more than 27%, Iraq with $ 1,107,000,000 and a share of more than 25%, and the UAE with $ 682000000 and a share of more than 15%, Afghanistan with $ 341000000 with about 8% and Turkey with $ 144000000 with a share of more than 3%.

The top five import destinations during this period were China with $ 1,234,000,000, the UAE with $ 1,078,000,000, Turkey with $ 535000000, Russia with $ 356000000 and India with $ 335000000.
